Notes & Combos
As you may have noticed, I have replaced the Diva engine with the Nimble Beaver engine in my deck. The reason for this change is that the Nimble engine provides more consistency.
A simple calculation shows that:
- with the Diva engine, we have 3 Divas and 1 Orochi, which we don't want to open with. Therefore, the probability of drawing a good hand from the Diva engine is 3/4 or 75%.
- For the nimble engine, we have 3 Beavers, 1 Foolish Burial, and 1 Angler. In a similar way, the probability of drawing a good hand with the Nimble engine is 4/5 or 80%.
However, the probability in real gameplay is even higher since we have Swap Frog, which can discard Angler to the graveyard!
In addition, I also have added Topologic Trisbaena to my deck due to the recent increase in floodgate decks like Labyrinth and Runick. Using Elf as C1 and IP as C2, special summon Topologic Trisbaena to the extra zone and then special summon the Elf effect monster at where the Topologic Trisbaena is pointing to. This allows you to get rid of all the annoying cards on the board.
