Spright has necessitated putting Secret Village of the Spellcasters back to 2 copies — not only for that specific match-up, but also because more players have added Dark Ruler No More to counter Spright.

The Runick version suffers the most from Secret Village, but all versions become dependent on their Normal Summon if they can't activate Spright Starter. If they activate the effect of their Normal Summoned monster and it gets negated and destroyed by Jackal King, then their turn is generally over.

Spright can also summon a 4-material Zeus without activating any effects for Jackal King to negate, so it's important to establish one of the following:

• At least 2 monster negates to neutralize Zeus's effect twice on the same chain.
• Garuda in the hand to bounce their Downwerd Magician.
• Selene with Reflection in the hand or GY.
• Magister with Reflection in the deck.
• I:P Masquerena with enough resources for either Knightmare Unicorn or Underworld Goddess.

I've considered adding Dark Ruler No More and that might still happen, but running 2 Secret Village and 2 DRNM is just begging for bricked hands.
