Notes & Combos

I orginally started my climb with Kash Fiendsmith but the combination of Maliss and horrendous coinflip luck leads a man down strange paths. Climbed from plat 3 using a blind second strategy. I hit a couple of 8+ winstreaks along the way.

The main gameplan is to break the board and then set up Kash monsters to control the duel from there; I.e clear the board and pretend you won the coinflip.

I was constantly changing this list, mainly ratios, but at some points I had lava golems and a kaiju. Lava golem was too big to beat over with PPW at 1, and kaijus just didn't do enough against the majority of end boards.

The MVPs for this climb were dark hole, super poly, unicorn and scareclaw Kashtira. I am convinced there's a bug in the game preventing Maliss players from reading scareclaw, as they would throw all their removal on fenrir or unicorn and then proceed to surrender when Accesscode, Darkfluid and crypter get negated.

Dark hole melts Maliss end boards, you realy only have to worry about desaveworm but you can bait that out really easily and most lists aren't running darkfluid anyways. I would run it at 3 if not running thrust.

Everything in the extra deck came up atleast once except for zeus which I never really wanted to summon even when I could. I would probably cut zues and the world chalice fusion for more copies of the kash XYZs to protect against bad pot luck.

Flare metal puts in work against Fiendsmith, where if I saw more FS I would like the option to end on double flare metal. Not as good against Maliss as you'd think since GWC heal is unreasonable.

Last tip: don't yolo into ariseheart, it's a very glass cannon play.

The replay vs Alsi270 (White Forest) is probably the most demonstrative one.
