Notes & Combos
Ryzeal is here, and it’s everything I hoped for.
When Maliss dropped last month, I decided to hold off, as Ryzeal looked like it would fit my playstyle way better. Now that it’s here, I can say it was 100% the right call. For a top meta deck, Ryzeal feels far more interactive (fair) than Maliss, and that makes it a lot more fun to pilot and play the mirror matches.
On the surface, it’s just “rank 4 spam,” but once you start playing, there’s a surprising amount of decision-making. I’ve really enjoyed the puzzle-solving aspect of playing around hand traps and navigating an opponent’s board. Coming from Centur-Ion, where breaking a full board is almost impossible, it’s been a refreshing challenge to actually work through established setups, especially since I’m still relatively new to Yu-Gi-Oh!
For my second Master climb, I wanted to start earlier in the season, so I have time to try climbing in Master with Centur-Ion too, but we’ll see. Thanks as well to everyone who liked my first Master rank profile last month!
My build is pretty standard overall, but if you’re curious about any specific card choices, just ask, and I’ll be happy to explain my reasoning.
