Notes & Combos

  • I've always been a fan of Materiactor, my favorite XYZ deck, and thanks to RT you get starters without spending the NS. The deck is very consistent; you have many cards that are inherently OCC, so seeing 2 or 3 of them means you can rest assured that short-impact hand traps won't stop you.
  • You can play around Nibiru if you summon Number 73 or Ashura early in the turn, which is relatively easy. Even so, the deck suffers a lot against cards like Maxx C or Mulcharmys, so it's recommended to run a good amount of non-engine cards like hand traps or boarbreakers since you only need one card to do your whole combo. Against Droll it will depend on your hand, but generally you'll always want to keep I:P to summon Fancy on your opponent's turn and have interruptions, with the massive spam that the deck has.
  • Even though the deck has a lot of power, it's very vulnerable to boardbreakers, so your worst matchups are decks like Sky Striker, Tenpai, Gem-Knight, and others. Because this deck's endboard focuses more on interruptions than negations, you're the perfect target for boardbreakers. But aside from that, the deck in its standard combo is capable of leaving around 7 interruptions, not counting the hand traps you can add, and when you're overextended, you're capable of leaving up to 11 interruptions it's incredible.
