Pot of Goat is the great equalizer
Previous two months were completely unplayable with all the hand peeking, hand ripping and floodgating around, but this season was the smoothest climb to M1 without a single derank.
With Gem-Knights you don't fight against the board which you will break, you are fighting against multiple handtraps on top of it which they drew as part of their normal combo or having Maxx C glued to their hands.
When I was complaining about how it's getting harder and harder to play going second recently from all the new degenerate cards and decks that Konami keeps printing to the point that even a blind second strategy is extremly tough which should be a canary in the coalmine, I was met with comments how it's skill issue and that game has never been more fair and interactive (LOL), now every famous yugioh personality on internet started complaining how it is impossible to go second, and suddenly everyone is outraged and parrots their opinion...
