Notes & Combos
A new wind under Striker's wings~
This season we didn't get any new Striker cards, but we did receive huge positive changes in the unlimit of Pot of Desires and the much anticipated Radiant Typhoon Vision!
For those unfamiliar, Vision is like allure of darkness, but instead of banishing a dark, you discard a quick play. It's a match made in heaven for Striker that naturally plays a TON of quick plays and wants spells in gy.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, it allows you to play in the draw phase, digging deeper before you can get drolled (and extra points if you can chain Linkage in draw phase to also get your engage search before Standby!)
------------
I have a LOT of thoughts about this deck, and honestly I wasn't even sure about this list. I actually changed to a slightly different version from M2 to M1 after getting a little fed up with certain decks
All Gas, No Handtrap Version
- The version here is what I played 95% of the season
- It's very good at breaking boards, but there are certain decks that are hard to stop when you go first
- If you are not on handtraps, I feel like Super Poly is the single most important breaker
- What ended up frustrating me about this version is that Decks like Mitsu and Radiant Typhoon are very hard to stop with PURE spells, because there's a lot of recursion and advantage that they get which there isn't a great staple spell card to deal with
- A LOT of decks are very inconsistent at the moment, and either go FULL COMBO through many handtraps or pass to a single ash. If you don't at least have Ash (or Maxx C/Droll) you can never keep them honest. It's winnable just harder

Pot of Desires
This card deserves it's own section because it's very polarizing.
YES, you will occasionally banish cards you were planning on using. YES, that can be frustrating and occasionally game losing. NO, on average it will not fold your strategy to banish 10 cards from your deck.
Desires saved me from having NO play and certainly losing far far far far more times than it cost me the game. This is coming from someone who doesn't even love the card. There were MULTIPLE games I won even though I had to double Desires and banish 20!
I do recommend playing 2 Roze for desires (especially if you are on a low handtrap count and need the zero pop), and 2 Lemnis
I actually cut Desires to 2 later in the season because I was so often drawing into multiple which was devaluing the card a LOT
Replays
Every season I upload my ranked matches to M1 on my youtube channel with annotations explaining my thought process!
I am not gonna lie, I think this season might be some of the craziest matches I have ever had in MD, so please look forward to it!
Should be up within the week!
