Notes & Combos

Out of all of the decks from the fallen of albaz lore I just had to like the design of icejade to actually play it and realize that Konami is showing strong favoritism for all the decks in the lore except icejade. Icejade has a slow control style which in today's meta does not do much since a bunch of these tier decks are all gas. Tried a bunch of variations of icejade but ended up with pure icejade due to the amount of hand traps I can add. Surprisingly shifter doesn't harm the deck that much. Icejade can play through cards being banish but it is not ideal so make sure to only use it if you have to.

The best board to have is the field spell, icejade curse and icejade kosmochlor on the field because all these cards create a skill drain effect for your opponent. However due to this effect needing 3 specific cards the more common end board will be icejade aegirine searching arosion and setting it. Then if you have icejade ran aegirine you can use it's effect to make the boss monster icejade gymir aegirine. With this board you have a omni negate and omni banish plus whatever hand traps in the hand. Also if gymir is in the gy and your opponent banishes a card(for example if your opponent uses kashtira unicorn to banish a card from your extra deck) gymir can be revived from the gy

Unfortunately even the skill drain effect or the omni negate and banish is still too little for some decks. Labrynth and Tearlaments can play through it and if there is one card you are going to hate when playing this deck is super polymerization. Just nothing you can do but say gg and move on to the next game. Have derank multiple times this season so proceed with caution if you decide to use this deck. The best deck icejade have a good time with is stun since a bunch of stun players are playing the water barrier so that's no issue for icejade. Kashtira is 50/50 while snake-eyes really depends on your handtraps. Hopefully Konami remembers this deck and give it some better support.

All replays of Icejade are of March 2024.

Because Icejade are slow decks these replays were not the best and not entirely happy with them so they will be deleted in about 2 weeks from this post.

Master 5 March 20th: Icejade Shark was one of the decks I early tested. Powerful but easily disrupted.

Master 5 March 29th: Icejade excels at the long game so unfortunately my opponent couldn't have won. Had to wait longer to make plays though because I knew super poly was set.
