Notes & Combos
Day 4 M1! Could've hit M1 earlier but Luna Tear games drag out too long and I have a life to live lol.
- Meta was essentially Branded, D-Link, Tear, Spright and Stun. Surprisingly few Branded Tear and Spright in high Master. (and a lot more Tears)
- No Bystials because they are only good into Tear (alright into Dragons/Branded, but Spoly/Droplets much better), are very bricky and unlike Spoly/Droplets cannot start plays by discarding Ishizu millers.
- 100% winrate into Melffy Spright lmao
Why play the Lunalight engine?
- If you play Tear, you may have noticed that you are experiencing a drop in consistency in the hands you open being playable and your mills being good.
- Instead of bloating your deck with excessive non engine in Bystials, give some slots to an engine that provides extra gas.
-
- The Lunalight engine solves your mills being horrible by adding additional good mills in Chick/Perfume, with minor consistency boosts when you open Chick + Tiger/Perfume or hit them in a mill 3/5.
-
- It also provides additional mill power in Dugares, Kagutsuchi and Curious
- As a result, the Lunalight engine offers a much higher ceiling as well as consistency in reaching this ceiling (I almost always was able to make a full board of Elf + Gryphon + Dweller + Kaleido + Sulliek + Snow going first)
- It also provides up to 3 additional pushes going second (Dugares, Kagutsuchi, Dharc, Sprind) allowing you to break many boards with ONLY ENGINE (I have replays public of beating Melffy Spright/D-Link/Branded this way). This is a major part of why I had a 100% winrate into Melffy Spright!
- Gryphon is a stupid card that can set Sulliek (at 1) or Spoly/Droplets and floodgates the opponent for easy wins once it hits the field
-
- It is impossible for 60 card pile decks to "gas" through your board when Gryphon is up
- You do not have to play bricky traps like Cryme because you beat Evenly in engine! Snow banish Kaleido Chick in BP beats Evenly as well as any Battle tricks (Numeron, Avramax and Runicks go bye bye)
