Notes & Combos
Ok I REALLY tried to make the Master 1 climb with an interesting deck. I got ONE GAME AWAY from Master 1 TWICE while using two different versions of an invoked dogmatica deck, one as a traditional going first build and another with a cool going 2nd kaiju twist on it. I had been playing Masterduel for literally 5 hours last night going 50% with those decks, and today I said ***** it, I want those 200 gems before the end of the month, and dusted off my old stun deck. I went 8-4 to get to Master 1, only took maybe an hour or so. It was great managing to steal a couple of going 2nd games against sprite and tear that I saved in the replays.
I thought an optimal build doesn't use crackdown and change of heart, instead using either more consistency cards or bigger blow out board breakers. That way more of the extra deck can be dedicated to extra copies of your super poly targets (Super Poly is probably the best board breaker in the game right now, if you have garura and mud dragon you can hit literally every deck and it's great first or second). However, I found that with how slowed down the speed of games was due to fossil dyna, necrovalley and inspector boarder that stealing an opponents monster and either linking it away or even attacking with it was really helpful. Just making it so they can't stall by hiding behind a set ash blossom all game is honestly worth it, and I think they're fun cards. The only link I ever used was the predaplant and the phoenix however, so maybe the extra deck tools are mostly unnecessary.
If you don't that the UR for inspector boarder more copies of jowgen might be a good place to start, as long as you have moon mirror shield and mirror wall to protect you until you can get to a way to out their board you should be good.
