Season 50 - The Finale
60c Crusadia World Legacy: "Small World Legacy's Finalit-i"
50 straight seasons of hitting the top rank in Master Duel with my beloved Crusadia! Wow! I only started uploading here in Aug 2022, but I guess my track record since should be proof enough.
This is where I say goodbye! But first, one final update to the deck build, providing another approach to World Legacy's Finality!
I was unable to make the 60c pile work with Mekk-Knight Crusadia. That was the last thing I'd planned to test, but it just couldn't function going first or second. Going first, there's no reason to set up Mekk backrow over Deus. Going second, there aren't enough efficient starters for a 60c deck, and going 2nd with a 60c pile is just a non-starter anyway.
So, I decided to revisit an old concept: "Small World Legacy's Finality." It was from February 2025, exactly one year ago!! A fitting way to end things off!
It was the prototype for "World Legacy's Finalit-i", which came into being with Galatea-i's release. The concept was pretty much the same, with setting up Deus as the primary win-con. The difference was in the way the engine core was constructed, with the more recent WL's Finalit-i functioning off maxed out Crusadia names, whereas "Small World Legacy's Finality" was built more acutely around Girsu and Draconnet.
I don't know if this is more competitive than the regular version, since it is more reliant on the normal summon sticking, but it does get the highest ceiling endboard more frequently with basically another 3 copies of the primary starters.
Here is the Small World map:
(I will post in comments if this link does not show up properly)
So, fewer Crusadia special summons from hand, a few more copies of the starters. I have had no time to calculate consistency properly, but I think it does take a slight hit.
- That said, when you do open combo, it is more likely to be the starters you want, as opposed to the backup Crusadia-only line, which is a lot worse...
- If anyone wants to give this a proper go, we might need to add more Crusadia names, or perhaps Cynet Mining instead. I went a lot heavier on the non-engine as it was death (as always) going second.
Beyond that, it's the same deck core, functions the same way, wants the same things to happen. I've already written tens of thousands of words over the months on the 60c pile, so please check those posts for the details, or contact me on Discord!
I'm really happy to have finally hit M1 on the very last day, 3 hours before the season reset. It was really nervy at the end, but I simply don't have time to play much anymore. The power of friendship, and my faith in my World Legacy companions of so many years, powered me through to the end!!! FYI I started playing Crusadia in 2018 and have only ever played this one archetype in various comps (Mekk-Crusadia and now Crusadia WL) since. 8 years together!

As I said back in Season 34, THIS IS IT. A list that represents all 8 World Legacy relics and their associated archetypes:
"World Chalice" "Mekk-Knight" "Krawler" "Knightmare" "Crusadia" "Orcust" "Guardragon" "World Key"
This is my love letter to World Legacy...!

It's time to move on with my life. It's been fun, and insanely sweaty at times, and downright unhealthy during Duelist Cups, but I feel like I can finally put down my great labor of love for the past 50 months (!!).
There isn't anything more to prove. I started uploading here when the initial Crusadia Diamond 1 lists started drying up, purely on a silly whim to "help maintain representation" on the website. Over time, I developed a sense of responsiblity for keeping the archetype "alive," as deluded as it may have been, and as I was greatly enjoying the game, elected to try and see how long I would be able to keep it up.
I've been able to hit M1 through so many cancerous meta shifts—Drytron, VFD, Tears, Synchro BS, Runick, Snake-Eyes, Maliss, I don't even want to remember the rest, and now the VS/K9 and Yummy nonsense. No degenerate BS could stop the Crusade to M1.

I just wanted to show, like many of the other amazing rogue/pet deck players on this website, that you don't have to play meta to hit M1. You can do it with your favorite deck! And, above all, you can do it with Crusadia (with the help of the entire World Legacy)!
Over the past year, and especially upon Galatea-i's release, I finally got around to developing a deck that I could really call my own. It is the current "World Legacy's Finalit-i." It took many months of playtesting and experimentation, but I did eventually arrive at a core that worked. It met all my personal requirements:
- Only use World Legacy archetypes for engine, and try to reach across the entire World Legacy tapestry
- Build around the Crusadia engine; even if it isn't the primary starter, utilize its unique features to help with board development
- Only use World Legacy endboard pieces
In so doing, I have achieved my YGO dream and will happily run this core concept whenever I do sit down to play again! What a journey it has been with my boy Astram, the STARLIT HERO!!! 4 years vanquishing meta after meta together!

I'm not quitting YGO; I will continue to follow World Legacy releases, and will always be chilling in #crusadia channel in the MDM Discord. But this will be my final M1 post.
Frankly, I'd lost interest in M1 grinding over a year ago now, and only my passion for Crusadia has kept me going all this time. I'm severely burnt out on Master Duel and am really looking forward to letting it go! In the end, I've finally realized that the M1 grind is just a black hole for time and energy. I probably only had to do it once to prove my initial point lol.
In the future, I would like to casually log in and play a few games just to enjoy the hype anime vibes of YGO. And in the distant future, I might be interested in playing tournaments, which are at least just a set number of duels.
And above all, I am definitely not doing Youtube anymore. I burnt out on Youtube way before I burnt out on MD.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone I've met in the past 4 years of this incredible journey. Thank you to:
- The #crusadia gang—Crusaddy, Raseruuu, Stun Tzu for all the cooking we've done together. Everything's slowed down now, but I won't forget the wonderful discussions and excitement when the chefs were all in the house! Crusaders for life!
- MDM Discord friends and acquaintances, including Plu, Zeroender, Papabear, Seventh Child, and others who have offered encouragement and advice over the years!
- The kind geniuses I've met on this website who have directly contributed to "World Legacy's Finalit-i"—especially hikori and Bora!
Thank you everyone! I think it is the right time to walk away as there won't be any new WL support for the foreseeable future, and interest in Crusadia has basically all but evaporated. I don't even think 5 people read these posts anymore. World Legacy in general has regained some footing with Galatea-i, and I feel that my (M1) watch is ended.
Man, it's really hard to let go. Writing to this point, I'm getting a bit emotional lmao. How melodramatic over a card game. But yeah, that's what World Legacy has meant to me all these years. Ok! Time to go!

Please feel free to ping me in #crusadia channel at any time! Otherwise, perhaps we will meet again Where the World Legacy Leads!
"Starlit hero, your sword swathed in light, may you triumph over the Great Darkness."
Cydver and my boy Astram, signing off!

Replays
I will post in the comments when the video for S50 is up. I need to take a break, then edit over the next week or so. That will be my last video. I hope the archive I have curated over the years will prove useful to someone someday. Thanks everyone!
