I deranked from Master 2 11 (ELEVEN) times this month. 2 of those 11 (ELEVEN) times, I was 1 win away from Master 1.
Maybe I'm too preoccupied, or my mental is failing, or the deck is just almost a non-starter at this point; whatever the case, I genuinely felt my M1 streak would finally end this season. Thankfully, I've pulled through again with nothing but sheer grit. However, I'm this close to burning out on the game. Well, maybe a couple weeks off before trying again next season will help.
Deck needs Galatea-i to unlock new lines ASAP. In its current state, there is no possible conclusion other than: It is ***. I'm just dragging it to M1 through Astram-fueled willpower. Maybe it needs another overhaul because it's almost an automatic loss going 2nd without more non-engine slots, especially with the incredibly degenerate FTKs running amok once again. Based balancing from Komoney as always.
The problem, however, as I've said many times over the years, is that (non-Orcust) World Legacy quite simply lacks starters. When Galatea-i finally gets here, there is the option to run 3x World Key just for a NS into fetching World Crown for Lib access, but I'll cross that bridge when we get there. I refuse to play actual Orcust starters, so there's really only so much I can do while maintaining the Crusadia core. It's really tough. Anyone looking to play WL-themed decks should objectively just ditch the Crusadia monsters and main Orcust or something. Sad truth.
Anyway, took 2 Imperms and 1 Ogre out for 2 more Drolls and 1 TTT. Droll won me many games, but was also dead into quite a few matchups (like the strangely prevalent Lab), or even hands if opponent opened cracked, so it wasn't even that great. It's just better than getting Nib ripped from hand or cucked by early monster negate bosses, while Ogre has fallen off a little for me as Blue-Eyes has definitely fallen off. Weirdly, 3x Nib was great in WCQ, but felt really bad in ranked.
I should also say that I got almost 17k points in WCQ in 8-9 hours of gameplay across 2 days, but it took me almost the entire month to climb to M1. It felt like anything below 20k points was probably around Diamond-level play, whereas Master in ranked really felt almost impossible this time round. Not sure why.
Plan remains: No new replays or videos until Galatea-i; older videos basically feature the same list anyway.
