Notes & Combos

Finally pulled this off with a deck that I actually had a much longer record of learning, experience, and practise!

Again I could only hit master 1 on the last day of a season so arguably this is not that solid, with my skills and deck-building my fair standing should be about master 3.

A big thanks to every1 who has helped my improve at various points.

It's really staggering how many players out there just can't play around Rikka interruptions. It's fairly easy for seasoned players to spot where to interrupt a rikka sunav combo even if they are not really faimilar with this deck type, but when it comes to dealing with the effects...well I guess what Josh Schmidt said was quite correct, that the real issue of so many YGO players are their reading skills/capabilities. The combination of Konkon and Sheet is just so powerful, against players who know what it does it could function like a Kaiser Colosseum (they can't place a second monster on the field without removing one of these 2 cards first), and against players who don't really check the texts, it's usually an instant turn stall. For this reason, if I could only search for either Sheet or Glamour, I will always prioritise the former.

I enjoy the diversity and possibilities of a 60-card deck such as this, but admittedly it's not competitively consistent. I also ran Penkratops until I start from master3, and I replaced it with another copy of imperm to improve my odds against snake-eye blues.

I LOVE Rikka(ft sunavlon) so so much, for its strength and so much beauty in various namings. My favorite example is that Rikka Konkon literally means snow(flowers) falling continually, where rikka is the Japanese word for snowflowers and konkon is the Japanese phrase of things going/flowing/happening in a continual fashion. Its secret pack also has an extremely fitting name: Blooming in Adversity, which primarily refers to the rikka lore of flowers in harsh winters, and to me it also nicely reflects how this deck type (huge shoutout to MVP Jasmine) thrives in a fierce YGO meta!

I aim to become better player worthy of piloting such strong a deck type to its greater powers!
