Notes & Combos
I experimented with multiple ideas for 60c Ryzeal w/ Primite. Initially my deck was heavy on the hand traps, but over time I went toward board breakers. I felt the Meta "Power Level" rose when Ryzeal became playable alongside Maliss. Either you have the blowout, or you just lose. It is wild that Ryzeal and Maliss still have more support down the line!
I am Team Ryzeal after playing Maliss and Ryzeal. Although I do like the artwork/theme of Maliss, I can't ignore the existence of Lancea of pretty much being a turn ender even before I play a single card. Is this the best way to play Ryzeal? Nope! This is just an different style of play.
-Primite Engine: This has been my favorite engine since playing it with Blue-Eyes and pulled its weight many times over while climbing. I usually went for my Ryzeal cards first, but under Fuwalos/Maxx C I leaned to this engine to at least have an "Omni-Negate" on the field. You can easily be able to perform Bagooska Pass or bridge into Ryzeal via Duo Drive with this engine alone.
-Evenly Matched: I won several duels going second with this card. This is a blowout card against Ryzeal unless they have the "out" for it. I went back and forth on running x1 to x3 and settled with x3 at the end, because of the amount of instant scoops I experienced.
-Artifact Lancea: Initially I played more Mulcharmies, but I kept bricking on them when going first or Purulia was useless against Maliss, so I went with Lancea as there was enough Maliss on the ladder to warrant it. Also, you can save yourself from being Evenly Matched by playing this card as well.
-Dimensional Barrier: Thrust Target to get some quick wins against Ryzeal and Tenpai.
-Extra Deck: Bagooska pass for the win! Seventh Tachyon Targets: Number 106 for Beryl and Number 104 for Ext/Ice Ryzeal. I hardly used Evilswarm Exciton Knight during my climb, but I kept it there for emergency purposes. While the rest of the cards were used to help me win games one way or another. Having duplicates didn't felt like a waste to me at all, but the argument can be made for more "toolbox" monsters.
Replays
- Duels were marked if it had some unique gameplay to it. Also, I tested out several tech cards, which is why you might notice the use of cards that were not on the submitted deck list.
