Notes & Combos
Same list that I used to get Diamond 1 last season, with the addition of Timaeus instead of 1 Chicken Game (I still have a love-hate relationship with Timmy). I've been tracking my games (around 100) and these are the resuls:
Pure Spright (14%), 60-card Pile Ishizu (12.1%), Spright Twin (11.2%) and Branded Despia (7.5%), so I adapted my deck to compete with them. The worst matchups were 60-card Pile using Ishizu cards and Exorsisters, while the best ones were against Spright variants.
How to play this deck:
-
Going first you want to lock your opponent with Village, Skill Drain or Summon Limit/Gozen Match.
-
Going second you want to open Maxx ''C'', Super Poly, Dark Ruler No More/Evenly Matched to break their boards.
-
Maxx ''C'' at 3 because if it resolves going second you most likely win that duel drawing into your board breakers.
-
The only viable changes are Timaeus for a 2nd Chicken Game and cutting evenly for a 3rd DRNM because sometimes it is lackluster. Dark Ruler and Superpoly were 10/10, Evenly wasn't that good because of Carrot and Timmy bricked me some games.
-
Superpoly was clutch against Spright decks, using it on I:P + Elf, summoning Earth Golemn or Diplexer Chimera against Live Twin Spright, while having some generic targets against dark decks like Branded, D-Link, etc.
-
I was alternating between Diplexer Chimera, Almarduke and Predaplant Triphy as the last ED slot, the first two against Spright Twin and Triphy against Pile D-Link decks.
