Notes & Combos

Bait with Fiendsmith, then Ryzeal, then finish on Mitsurugi for most hands. Habakiri resolving often results in a scoop.

Impulse shuts off half your deck but it's too good not to use. If you're paying attention you can play through it on most hands. You can still special the Light Ryzeals, either to make other Rank 4s or to have Duodrive + Field live.

The ratios aren't super tight, you can play around with a few more or less cards, especially handtraps.

Here are the cards that I used the least:

-Star Ryzeal, sometimes comes up for the extra body or early field off of Ice, but overall not necessary.

-Purulia, almost never came up. I used to run 3 in older iterations of the deck but it's not good enough.

-Crossout, especially in a 60 cards pile, can probably be replaced.

-Dharc, in theory is strong to steal good targets from the enemy's GY but almost never comes up.

-Dyna Mondo, very rarely allows you to flip an extra card at the end of a turn 2 where you don't kill.

-Moon (surprisingly), you almost always go to Requiem through Lacrima, Lurrie, or Exciton.

-Sequence, making Desirae is almost never better than making Caesar, but he baits handtraps.

Here are cards I tried and cut because bad:

-Thrust, in theory good to get you to Pre-Prep. In practice too hard to resolve and bricks up hands. I replaced it with more Talents and Mitsurugi Rituals.

-2nd Sagi, 2nd Kusanagi, because it never feels good to open them in your hand, but running 2nds of them actually doesn't perform better.

-Less Fiendsmith cards with Sanct, is probably good enough, but I found that having Lacrima as an extra Level 4 for flex lines really helps, and Paradise pitch Desirae comes up.
