Notes & Combos

Same list that I used to get Diamond 1 last season. It's still working perfectly. This is a pure Dark Magician deck designed for countering current meta, I still think this is the best way to play the deck right now.

How to play it:

• Going first you want to lock your opponent with Village, Skill Drain or Summon Limit/Gozen Match. Most of my duels were due to my opponent's surrendering for being locked, It's not a flashy way to win but It's the only way to win against Spright infectation.
• Going second you either open Maxx ''C'', Super Poly, Dark Ruler No More/Evenly Matched or you lose.
• 3 Copies of Maxx ''C'' because if it resolves going second you most likely win that duel drawing into your board breakers.
• I wouldn't change anything, Dark Ruler and Superpoly were 10/10, Evenly wasn't that good because of Carrot but it's still a decent card to keep. Also, I added it to avoid drawing multiple copies of Dark Ruler.
• Superpoly was clutch against Spright, using it on I:P + Elf, summoning Earth Golemn while having some generic targets against dark decks, Branded, etc.
• I don't think Branded variant is strong enough to deal with diamond ladder consistenly, Mirrorjade feels underwhelming against Spright, even if you break their board they are capable of coming back fairly easy, while setting a floodgate like Gozen or Summon Limit makes it almost impossible to them.
