Notes & Combos
I'm not very original so some of the ideas I stole from other Adventure Tenyi builds on this site, plus some ideas from Youtube (Hex Lex).
Deckbuilding decisions:
- 40 cards to ensure you see Maxx "C" as much as possible, and maximize the chances of drawing its out (3 Ash, 2 Called, 1 Crossout)
- Two Gryphon for the grindgame, plus it's a free 7 body
and I pulled two. If you didn't pull two copies, it's totally fine to use a 3rd Ashuna instead of crafting one. - 2 Nib, 2 Imperm + 3 Ash 3 Maxx "C" totals 10/40 handtraps, which is serviceable for going 2nd.
- Blackout instead of Emergence + Protos for fewer bricks. Ending on Protos is kind of a luxury, so I am okay with replacing its 2 card package with Blackout for a little more consistency.
- Prioritizing 3 Vishuda over Ashuna to deal with backrow/problem monsters.
Overall, we are trying to limit garnets/bricks to get full combo almost every time. Floo and Eldlich are tough matchups going 2nd. Feel free to add a duster if you need it.
There are a couple lines that make an early negate to protect your combo:
- Red Rose Dragon + Any 7 => Baronne + Halq. You now protect your Halq combo with Baronne.
- O-lion + Any other monster (+ spell/trap in hand) => Make Halq (CL1 Halq, CL2 O-Lion). Special Jet Synchron with Halq, make Herald, then revive Jet (discard spell/trap). Now you protect your combo with Herald. Herald prevents you from dumping Ashuna with Denglong, so make Borreload instead of Baronne with Denglong.
