At early days of MD I played a lot with this deck as cheaper stun deck. I dumped it after Terraforming got ban, but after reading your article i think is time too revisit it. I was given several ideas for my Phantom Spiral Deck. That said, 2 things. While there are times when another "Phantasm Spiral Dragon" is missing, it is also true that it makes the deck more brick. The win condition trap doesn't need to be taken (the other 2 are more useful at 3 each). The equipment cards (except grip) don't need to be taken either. Heatwave is useful but it is also brick in many cases and Morganite and the pots I do recommend. Likewise, both Metaverse and Demise of the Land I recommend because everything is based on the field. Even so, it is a fun deck but for diamond it is good.\nOh, and sorry for my poor English, I speak Spanish.

Gracias por tu comentario, normalmente encuentro que muchos Match-ups tienen monstruos que son indestructibles por batalla lo que hace que la activacion de "Grip" no me sea posible, personalmente no suelo recomendar las Pots ya que siempre requiero del Extra deck y he encontrado que mas veces de las que quisiera acaban negandomelas de todas formas por lo que opto por no usar pots directamente, Heat Wave suele funcionar tambien como desmotivador ya que (aunque no es mi intencion original) muchos oponentes terminan rindiendose apenas ven que uso Heat Wave

This deck gets so much better with both dominus traps, nice guide but i dont completely agree with the builds depending in too many one off its wierd and you wanna play 3 of the trap that its a pop

Hey thanks for the comment, in the past i also ran 3x of the pop and the negate traps but ended up having too many bricks with them so i cut them up to 2x, tho i appreciate the advice and realized i should indicate that they CAN run 3x of both the traps if they want. i mean its a matter of preference i like 3 trap pop and 1 trap negate so the amount of targets its about the same, also i like lost wind over titanocider and i do max out in it, a budget card i like to run its huge revolution its over or cursed seal of the forbidden spell depening on what boardbreakers i see

Here's something I'm curious about. You mention 4 different normal monsters, explain your reasons for why you include them, it's cool and a bit of a surprising toolbox. Unexpected Dai and Fish Sonar represent all your vanillas, so I'm curious why you only play 2 of each, especially when Sonar mitigates bricking on Spiral Dragon and the reptile only seems special for the link-2.

The reason i play only 2 Unexpected Dai's is because there are a lot of times where the only monster on the field is the token meaning i can't use unexpected Dai in the first place. The reason why fish sonar is at 2 is that when trying to balance the number of cards on the deck i had to cut down some of them and Fish sonar was the most reasonable one, since i haven't noticed too much difference between running 2 or 3 copies, still i will adapt the guide to what you said, thanks for your comment

This guide is awful. Please, remove it from the platform. It's full of grammar and spelling mistakes. The ratios and cards are weird. The sample list is unplayable for anyone who wants to play the deck in ranked. Keeping it will just give a misinformed idea of how the deck works and how you should build it.

Extremely weird list.

Why 50 cards? The deck already struggles with consistency enough.

Why not run the pots? Extravagance, Prosperity and maybe even Duality fit very well in it.

Sea Stealth Attack as a 1-of is weird too, it's a main part of the deck. So is Sonar at 2.

You should probably be running more ways to fetch the Field Spell, like Planet Pathfinder, more Metaverses, or maybe even Demise of the Land. The deck basically IS the field spell so you should run it at all costs.

The extra Normals are also strange. I can see an argument for Magicalibra, but Gagagigo and Draconia are just... bad.

Hi there, thanks for your comment, i don't run extravagance since it conflicts with the extra deck and had bad experiences with Duality\n Sea stealth is pretty useless on its own without the field spell and had a lot of bricks with it so i decided to cut down the numbers of copies i use, i cant' run Pathfinder since it's an Earth effect monster and i gotta admit Demise of the Land seems like a pretty good adittion so i'll add it on an update to the guide. Gagagigo is there basically since i can't run 6x Megalosmashers, and draconia has a good pendulum effect on top of having 2k+ defense being a vanilla water monster. Lastly, Sonar should be marked as 2x-3x that'll be fixed

I love this deck, and I have played it a lot since Master Duel released. I appreciate any attempt to bring more attention to Phantasm Spiral. That said...

-Why run 50 cards when the deck literally revolves around ONE card? If you don't see Pacifis, you lose 100% of the time. The deck should be a maximum of 40 cards with multiple other ways to get to your field spell (Planet Pathfinder, Metaverse, Pots, etc.).

-WAY too many monsters. Three Megalosmasher C, a Phantasm Spiral dragon or two, and, if you still don't feel comfortable with that, maybe a copy or two of another vanilla. I have won games with this deck without ever drawing a monster.\n-Fish Sonar should be played at three. There's literally no reason not to max on a spell that both adds a card to your hand and special summons a monster from your deck (it's Fossil Dig PLUS Unexpected Dai in one card).

-I don't think the equips are good enough to run. Wave is the only one I would even consider, and I would only run one copy at most.

-Phantasm Spiral Assault isn't really even good enough for its graveyard effect, and you don't have ways of putting it there directly anyway. I would also always recommend three copies of Phantasm Spiral Battle. It's objectively the best Phantasm Spiral card, and it always has utility. It's the best tool the deck has for specific removal.

-Forget the idea that this is a "Normal Monster Deck". It leads to making gimmicky card choices. Fists of the Unrivaled Tenyi is a solid card, and it will be live most of the time. I use it in my builds. Tyrant's Throes, however, is a different story. Unless you have Sea Stealth to protect it, it's highly vulnerable to Harpie's Feather Duster/Lightning Storm, and it gets absolutely blown out by Cosmic Cyclone regardless of Sea Stealth. And yeah, I get it, all traps are vulnerable to Harpie's and Cosmic Cyclone, but most traps don't cost you two monsters to activate.

-As far as the Spell/Trap lineup, I feel like the choices just need to be more impactful. The Phantasm equips aren't worth the space. Piercing the Darkness is cute, but the cards that you're drawing from it aren't very powerful. I like the fact that this deck is easy on the UR craft points, but, like, Solemn Judgment is available in a bundle. Torrential Tribute is only R rarity. Ice Dragon's Prison is an SR. Dark Hole is an SR. All of the Pots are SR. I'm not all the way against Heat Wave (especially considering how popular Tenpai is right now), but it also doesn't win you the game in any scenario. At best it buys you an extra turn IF you see it in your opening hand. You know what wins the game? Impactful Spells and Traps.

-Dimensional Fissure is incredibly powerful in this deck. This deck is in no way reliant on the monsters in the graveyard to operate, and many other decks will lose the grind game to Pacifis if they can't out D-Fissure. It's not a must-run right now, though, because Tenpai runs Shifter anyway, and Ritual Beasts love their monsters being banished.

There are a few other things I would argue about in this guide, but I have stuff to do today. But again, love the Pacifis love!
