Notes & Combos

I'm new and decided to get into playing by building a deck very similar to ChaosSound's earlier submission (huge shoutout/thank you). Some notes about this edition with my limited experience:

The 3 Drolls have been allowed while I've been playing in MD.

I added Lancea to counter Maliss and Orcust, and my overall win rate at higher levels--especially going second improved.

Going first, I typically try to play Ether Beryl first to get the Primite engine running. I'll ultimately set Majesty and summon Spheres. If you don't have True Light out, it's nice to have one BE in the graveyard rather than two, so if you bounce with Spheres, you can pull the other BE from your deck and activate Drillbeam.

Also if you can, hold off using Mausoleum until you special summon Maiden by special summoning BE. Then target Maiden with the Mausoleum and pull something from the Graveyard.

If I'm going first and not feeling resistance (no Maxx "C", Imperm, etc.), I'll sometimes go for two BESDs. This is definitely risky with Nib around. During their turn, I'll try to use a graveyard negate or go into BEUSD with one Spirit Dragon. If I need a second omni or we reach the End Phase, I will use Crimson to go for Blazar.

Going second, I typically rely on summoning Tyrant and either BESD or Lightstorm (lots of backrow, OTK potential on board). If I go for BESD, I can often clear the board with Tyrant before attacking once with BESD and then summoning AFLD and, ideally, OTKing with that.

Indigo came up less but can situationally be effective against boards with lots of continuous effects (make sure you use Tyrant/BE with one BE in the grave to get the full force here).
