Notes & Combos

I'm already in Master 1 but I still wanted to test out some of the new cards and see how the ban-list impacted the meta. I chose to play Labrynth Amazement and got a good streak going. I picked Amazement to complement Labrynth as their engine cards are actually in a good spot right now - notably with Rapid Racing's level modulation and shuffle effects.

Also, I wanted a Labrynth deck that was more Tcboo friendly as it's pretty powerful on ladder currently, and Amazement goes a long way in allowing that.

Notes

  • With the shufflers limited, Lovely looping is now more reliable, and thus I'm focusing on that again here. I'm only using one Lovely because I never want to draw her or open her as she's still a brick. Destruction still isn't too useful right now to warrant more copies either.

  • I played Liliths over the third Arianna and Comica. Lilith allows you to see either engine, can be a floodgate, or could be interaction if needed. Her effect allows you to play through stuff like Sulliek and Imperm, and she doesn't lose to HTs as much like the other two starters do.

  • I went with Super Poly as my board breaker of choice and have been liking it a lot so far. It's especially nice with DDG or if you have Barrier afterward if you're going against Tear. The target ratios were good enough where I never totally killed them off of pots.

  • Lastly, the Bystials were good. I think 3 is solid but I'm going to experiment with more.
