Notes & Combos
Introduction
This deck is quite fun to play. Its win condition is to hand rip the opponent's hand. Unlike other decks, this deck does not have a specific combo line (Card A searches Card B, Card B Special Summons Card C). The optimal combo depends on the cards in your opening hand and the cards you send to the GY.
Tips
To play the deck optimally, you should play the minimum number of monsters that can be Normal Summoned/Set, allowing you to send as many cards as possible to the GY with Reasoning/Monster Gate.
Personally, I prefer playing 1 Snow and 1 Decatron. If you only play one monster that can be Normal Summoned/Set, the probability of having it in your opening hand is approximately 8%. However, if you play 2 monsters that can be Normal Summoned/Set, the probability of having both in your opening hand is less than 1%.
Additionally, having two monsters that can be Normal Summoned/Set allows you to activate Reasoning/Monster Gate more than once. Thanks to the effect of Infernoid Evil, you can also easily send Decatron to the GY.
I recommend that the first action you take is activating Reasoning, because your opponent will not know which deck you are playing yet, making it more likely that they will guess the wrong Level.
I play 3 copies of all the smaller Infernoids because they're easy to summon. I also play 3 copies of Onuncu/Devyaty because Infernoid Tierra specifically lists them as Fusion Materials and Running multiple copies of them also makes it more likely that they'll end up in the GY, allowing Infernoid Evil to banish one of them and send 9 or 10 different Infernoids from the Deck to the GY.
This deck can play under the effects of Maxx "C" and Mulchummy Fuwalos, but you will have to finish your combo after using Tierra's effect.
Before starting the combo, I Link Summon Artemis to send Snow to the GY in order to play around Infinite Impermanence/Effect Veiler.
After Fusion Summoning Tierra using the effect of Mutiny in the Sky/Fiendsmith's Sequence, I send 1 PSY-Framelord Omega, 1 Garura, and 1 Infernoid Evil from the Extra Deck to the GY.
Combo Example
One example of the combo after activating Tierra's effect would be:
- Link Summon Promethean Princess.
- Special Summon from the GY an Infernoid Attondel or another Level 5–8 Infernoid.
- Special Summon from the GY Onuncu/Devyaty.
- Activate Promethean Princess's effect to Special Summon Decatron.
- Activate Decatron's effect.
- Link Summon Infernoid Flood, using Promethean Princess and Decatron as materials.
- Activate Snow's effect to Special Summon itself and banish Shadow Severing Strike and Void Breach.
- Activate Shadow Severing Strike's effect to add Void Breach to your hand.
- Activate Attondel's effect to Tribute Snow and banish any card from the opponent's GY.
- Activate Void Unleashing's effect to add Onuncu/Devyaty to your hand.
- Activate Void Breach and, since we only control Fiend monsters, we can activate its effect to Special Summon Onuncu/Devyaty from our hand.
- Special Summon Snow again.
End Board
An example of an endboard is:
- Infernoid Onuncu: Spell/Trap negate.
- Infernoid Devyaty: Monster negate.
- Infernoid Attondel: Banish 1 card from the opponent's GY.
- Infernoid Flood: Special Summon negate + banish 1 card (by Special Summoning Snow)
- Snow: Flip 1 opponent's monster face-down.
- Promethean Princess (GY): Destroy 1 opponent's monster.
Tech Choices
- Subspace Battle: I generally use this card to add Onuncu to my hand and use it as Fusion Material to Fusion Summon Infernoid Evil, then banish Onuncu from the GY to send 10 Infernoids to the GY. However, it can also be used to send the missing Infernoids to the GY in order to use Tierra's full effect. Additionally, Subspace Battle gives you information about which deck your opponent is playing, which can help you decide how to approach the rest of your combo.
- Shadow Severing Strike: If you combine this card with Snow, you can add any card from your GY or banished zone to your hand.
- Relinquished Anima: If the opponent negates the first effect of Infernoid Evil, we can send it to the GY to Link summoning this card to search a Void Spell/Trap. We can use Linkuriboh instead of this card.
- Aiwass, the Magistus Spell Spirit: We can Fusion Summon this card using Fiendsmith's Sequence's effect to return Snow to the Deck to be able to activate Reasoning/Monster Gate again.
