Notes & Combos

General guidelines:

  • Use Vernussylphs as late as possible.
  • Get Koa'ki Meiru Guardian as early as possible, try to keep him on field.

Goal: Get Block Dragon and link him away, search 2-3 earths. You usually search him with Gallant Granite. IMPORTANT: enough earths in the GY (or have them in the hand for banishing).

  • Most of the times, get Gallant with the Vernussylphs. Awakening Forest is most critical. He alone can make Gallant by foolishing Revival Golem. The others search Awakening Forest and fill the GY.
  • You can also make Block Dragon with 1 level 4 Normal Summon and an extender.

End boards/combos: vary, excavates of Adamancipators are luck based. Typical end boards can consist of:

  • I:P Masquerena: You usually want to link summon with Block Dragon and Gallant. Link summon during your opponent’s turn and search again with Block Dragon. For extra negates, make Apollousa. For removing cards, go into Goddess/Unicorn.
  • Block Dragon: See I:P Masquerena. Niche situations: Your rock monster can only be destroyed by battle.
  • Abyss Dweller: Shuts down GYs. Alternatively, make Herald of the Arc Light: Monsters sent from hand or Deck to the GY are banished + destruction omni negate.
  • Baronne de Fleur: destruction omni negate. Preferred Synchro.
  • Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign - Chengying: Can be made sometimes alongside Baronne. Reduces ATK of your opponent’s monster substantially. If a card is banished, you can banish 1 card from your opponent's field and GY.
  • Adamancipator Risen - Dragite: Spell-Trap negate when Cartorhyn the Hidden Gem of the Seafront is in the GY.
  • Sometimes you also can keep a Guardian for a monster negate.
  • Ishizu's in the GY: Shuffle cards from GYs back. Interruption and recursion. Good with Chengying.
  • If interrupted or Maxx C: try to make Bagooska.

Some deck choices:

  • This deck tries to maximize consistency.
  • Herald of Orange Light: dead about 2.4% of the times. First card I would cut, because he's a minus 1 (but great with Ishizu discard).
  • Drawing Ishizu's: 72.1%. That's why I try to have as little cards as possible. (74.2% if you played with 40 cards).
  • 6 Handtraps: 55.7% chance of drawing. I don't want to play more, because it makes your deck inconsistent. Less makes it less reliable going 2nd.
  • Adamancipator Seeker: is not as easy to summon, 2 are enough.
  • Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon: can be cut, only backup plan.
