Notes & Combos

To be honest, when I first started playing White Forest Azamina, I didn’t expect to reach Max Rank with it. In the current meta, almost every top-tier deck has tools to counter it. Take the (Kewl Tune) deck, for example. They gave me a really hard time at first because they mess with my monsters' levels, set up annoying boards, and can literally rip my hand or scout my next draw. But after practicing the matchup constantly, I finally figured out how to beat them. I ran into them 4 times in the World Championship (WCS); I won 3 matches and lost only 1 because I opened a terrible brick while my opponent went first, built a full board, and resolved Maxx "C". Winning that was just impossible. The new Branded support was another huge struggle. Played against them 7 times, won 4 and lost 3. Most of my losses were due to bricking while they went first and established full combo. My game plan was always about trying to break their board and playing through disruptions with whatever resources I had left. Now, the deck that exhausted me the most has to be (Enneacraft). I faced them 5 times and won 4. The games against them drag on forever, and they have so many ways to win. Honestly, in two of those games, Evenly Matched completely carried me. I won effortlessly because of it. Right now, I genuinely believe Evenly Matched is the best tech card against the current meta—it single-handedly won me so many matches. As for the rest of the tier list decks, they were pretty easy to handle. I’m honestly so happy that I managed to hit Max Rank in the WCS using White Forest Azamina, especially since most of my friends advised me to run the Elfnote variant instead. It just didn't click with me, so I stuck with Azamina. Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this.
