🦋Introduction:

꒰(˶• ᴗ •˶)꒱: Hiya, fellow duelists! I have made it DLVL. MAX with a build of Sky Striker that hasn't been too popular in this format: Blind Second Striker!

🦋 Why Blind Second?

With the top meta contenders leaning toward a mid-range, low-to-the-ground playstyle, I thought it'd be a destructive, blow-out, yet attritional variant that would be good. No worries about the Mulcharmies, coin-flip losses, etc.

However, my encounters frequently had a lot of non-engine backing up their boards, which otherwise wouldn't have been an issue. Additionally, there is a lot of hand-information or displacement from decks like Kewl Tune, Elfnote, etc.

🦋Overview/Matchups:

(✨NEW!) Boardbreakers of Choice: I will be transparent... I do not know what boardbreakers to run! So very much a not defined build, but I will explain: 😅

  • Raigeki- Because of its non-target nature, it is excellent into Kewl Tune and the rogue style of decks you tend to see in these qualifiers. Once you bait out negations, this can completely alter the game with one fell swoop.
  • Heavy Storm/Harpie's Feather Duster: Decks like Dracotail, Odion, Radiant Typhoon, and Sky Striker will be shaken up by these cards. With this deck, we have multiple ways to dodge targeting negations: MST, F&V, Forbidden Droplet, and Linkage, which makes resolving these two catastrophic Spells easier.
  • Evenly Matched: Duelists panic when the Main Phase is about to end, forcing out odd plays and interactions with the simple click of Battle Phase. Because of this, it also may activate Talents and Thrust. Banishing face-down also means grind-games are dampened, and if the Opposition is gullible, may even accidentally choose to remove Towers-type monsters (I had a duelist remove their Dogma with Evenly Matched). Of course, non-target is great for Enneacraft.
  • Soul Release: Very much a Graveyard hate card, specifically for decks like Branded which thrive off of having many cards in it, which makes even card choices like Shark Cannon not so viable sometimes.

(✨NEW) Minor Extra Deck Choices:

  • Exciton: This was added for Enneacraft, but the lack of encounters really undermined its usage. "Combined Maneuver- Engage Zero!" is a substitute and better in case you are restricted by Linkage.

🦋Conclusion: ꒰(˶• ᴗ •˶)꒱: Very smooth climb up until DLVL. 19->20! This is a very fun variant, still, and worth trying out! Subscribe to Floowooly and the Dungeon!
