Notes & Combos

Final Deck List with which I achieved Duelist Level Max within the Master Duel 2023 World Championship Qualifier.

Variations of the deck list as I climbed up the ladder included Exchange of the Spirit + Gravekeeper's Trap for most of the run in which Gravekeeper's Trap was more often than not used to salvage hands with no starters by pitching an EARTH Fairy and this not entirely working out; Cyber-Stein and Exterio was also cut in the final edit since it did less than I had hoped; Tornado Dragon for the middle part of the climb in which I faced a lot of Floodgate decks and it was basically an MVP usually able to eat two Floodgates if I had no other way to do so; and early in the run Diviner of the Herald and Baronne de Fleur with the Emerald Tortoise and Rainbow Bridge of Salvation package when I was still over-valuing the Field Spell.

Also had Avramax at some point to give I:P Masquerena and Spright Elf something else to do, but it came up once and I:P was usually used to free up board space and then make Underworld Goddess.

I probably should have dropped Foolish Burial Goods in the final iteration but it still served as a decent search for Reinoheart, only that could have been ROTA.

Final Note on Bagooska: I gave in and put him back in the end, but this Tapir was in and out of the deck as every time I did summon him, it felt bad and didn't do a thing. This probably should have been a Dharc which was cut in the final edit since it almost never came up either, but was cut to make room for the Zoo package. In the end, basically a bog standard Ishizu Tear list.
