Notes & Combos
Glad this is over with. Struggled a lot at first and dropped to 1260. Overall the deck was not competitive when I first got to rated. Started overthinking the main deck too much, until I got to this. As long as you keep the core cards, you have options for the rest of the deck.
Last 100 games
- Going 1st: ~78% WR
- Going 2nd: ~41% WR
This deck is generally great going first, unless you brick/get a weak starting hand. Going second can be tough - the right combination of cards can play through a lot though.
Main Deck:
- Artmages and Medius keep the same.
- Succession adds a bit of grind game and can come up in unexpected moments. You could swap this out though.
- All other Artmage Spells/Traps keep the same.
- 2nd Awakening or Assault can be an option.
- K9s keep the same. Noroi can be bumped to 3.
- Case feels good at 2. Tried 1, but having a searchable discard was clutch.
- Tactics and Thrust aren't necessary, but help you win the occasional duel.
- Forbidden Droplet is a good option that also gives you discard potential for owl and medius.
- Seeing more traps lately. A lot of Purge/Impulse.
- Red Reboot back on the menu.
- Other cards pretty standard. Adjust based on opponents.
- Another Artmage K9 deck was using Planet Pathfinder. Good budget option!
Extra Deck:
- 1 Diac is fine, but you will have to focus more on recycling it. 2 felt better.
- Chimera if you are running Succession.
- Standard Rank 5s, Vallon is great for Yummy, link decks and can be useful against VS/K9.
- I:P and W:P are useful and fun but not needed.
- Tiras, Zeus, Typhon, Saryuja/Quinquery, Riverstormer/Gadget, Arc Rebellion all good options.
