Notes & Combos
What a hard climb! Elfnote and Kewl Tune are still terrorizing the meta, Dracotail Branded is still at full force, and I made it work with Invoked! The deck is crazy, and mostly solved. The ratios and fine tuning took a while to complete. I was on the magistus package but I bricked on crowley too much so I cut it, as well with Gamma Summon. This deck has the power to playthrough so much so clogging your hand with cards that don't let you fusion summon more consistently feels really bad. I was initially playing 2 grail but it doesn't work as well as an extender as you'd like it to be. I made deck consessions for Pot of Desires, resolving it after digging your deck after your combo feels great, and getting more fusion potential after getting all your plays getting prevented feels even better. 2 Virakam feels correct, she is a great extender and adding the second one off baybarron after drawing your first one doesn't feel too bad because she is great on turn 3, and she could also be Mechaba food. The Baronne and Magistus Omega package feels soooo good. Secure Gardna and Al fuel the graveyard in hands where you draw more engine, Magistus Omega is a great way to bridge into greater combo and is also a board breaker, and baronne should be banned. The fusion monster ratio isn't set in stone, Invoked Caliga isn't that bad to replace Invoked Elysium with, but I'd rather have Elysium, if you make Elysium earlier enough in a screwed up combo, you can use it dodge targeted effects and I used that to win so many games by banishing Aeon with it after it gets impermed. Ofcourse the name of the game is resolving Hyperinvoked Aeon asap, even through maxx c, many decks just tend to fold to a resolved Aeon and the whale. Oceanus is crazy, it locks out elfnotes, dracotail, kewl tune, and phantom knights but honestly I feel bad for phantom knights all the cards read like crazy but spot removal is huge in this format and xyz decks aren't that good into that type of removal. I had such a fun time with this deck, I've loved spellcaster decks, when I got back into Yu-Gi-Oh I was given a terrible invoker deck, and I'm really happy this deck is back into format, it's a strong red mage type of deck where its strong on the offensive and on a defensive! I don't have any replays because I made master V a while ago and I forgot to save any of the cool replays before they expired; just remember to resolve Aeon no matter what and think on the fly to resolve asap.
