Notes & Combos

Took my DC list into ranked and climbed to master with some modifications. I won't go into details about the deck that are already covered in the other decklist, but I'll mention the differences here.

I tuned down the Labrynth engine a lot. No more Chandraglier, Cooclock, or Arianna as unfortunately they have too little synergy with the rest of the deck, and with a smaller number of Labrynth traps, they didn't feel worth it to run. I also took out 1 Lady and 1 Big Welcome because I found I never actually wanted to draw into Lady, and I only wanted to see at most one copy of Big Welcome in my hand.

In their stead, I'm running:

  • +3 Droll for more handtraps and answers to Maxx C. Though not ideal to use Droll to counter Maxx C, the deck can still play under Droll by either going into Sunny or more if there are Spright names in hand. As a handtrap, Droll is insane in the current meta and was game-winning almost every time I dropped it. It hurts the +2 off of Ki-sikil and Frost during the opponent's turn, but I am okay with losing two cards if I know it can end my opponent's turn (such as after Pathfinder search).
  • +1 Password as I mentioned in my previous list. I want more chances to see Twin names.
  • +1 Gamma Burst for OTKing under Maxx C. Previously, the deck struggled with getting enough damage on board, but I can now OTK on an open board in 4 SS with a Twin start.
  • +1 Raigeki as a Thrust target for breaking boards. Added after playing a few games where searching Raigeki would have won me the game. Of course, it hasn't come up since I added it.

Herald of the Abyss still feels bad, but I know that as soon as I remove it, I'll play against only Purrely. Evenly did come up as a Crossout target, so that was funny.

With all this said, the Labrynth engine does seem like win-more. I had my fun, so I'll probably switch back to just playing normal Spright☆Twin as I found my easiest games were when I just open a Twin, 1-2 extenders, and handtraps.
