Still enjoying Ryzeal/Mitsurugi and getting Master with it

Changes i made since last season's decklist :

• Dropped the retaliating "C" strat for 2xDroll + Crossout

Retaliating "C" was really good when it came up but it made some matchups like VSK9 way worst since it's a near dead card. Since Kewl Tune lost 2 overtake and therefore got to do more searches, i went for our arch-nemesis Droll with crossout to highly limit their board if they do any searches before Trackmaker. It's simply a broken lingering floodgate — like shifter — that wins you game both going first and second so gotta play it and play around it until they hopefully ban it.

• Swapped the Dominus Impulses for Seventh Tachyon

I followed the wise path of Nightfall, who got 10th last season with Mitsu/Ryzeal, and replaced Impulses for the Tachyon package.

You lose some going 2nd handtrap potential but it made my deck way more consistent and that's the most important thing. Unless i have already Ice or Ext, i will lead with it to either bait Ash or to get drolled but still make a Detonator. I did reduce it from 3 to 2 in my climb since i often ended up with too many ryzeal starter and not enough Mitsu so 2 felt better and allowed me to be at 40. The Dragluxion+Harbinger package to search Tachyon and get a spell negate came up a few times and it gives me multiple ways to get to Detonator, which is the true MVP of my climb.

My Tips :

!!!! Always play around droll !!!!

Going first, always start with the searches that gives you the most, which is often ryzeal lines to get at least a Detonator or Mitsu Lines if you hard drew the Trap or Ritual + Ritual name and search trap asap.

Try to dugares for draws when you have the hand for it, preferably after a bit of deck thinning — just before searching Trap/Prayer usually — so you can get the other one or Magatama if you draw them. It gave me better result than going for a big 5 mat detonator and made the best use of the semi-brick that is Node Ryzeal.

If you have Shifter in hand + A search like Pre-Prep, use the search first, then chain shifter. More often than not, they will not negate it if they have Droll because they want to to let u search so Droll is live — but once shifter hits, droll is dead for 2 turn.

And the obvious but never surrender if you wanna climb. The Shuffler and the Coin toss will ***** you but as long as you keep playing well and without tilting, you will reach the next rank.
