Notes & Combos
Revol Bots my beloved.
This was my first time maining a control deck, and I came to love the gameplay loop. It has a lot of nuance and modular sequencing.
This is a toolbox deck, but your toolbox comes from main deck "components" rather than ED. I appreciated how low to the ground the ED plays given Unicorn and KT.
This deck is also strange because it relies on other engines that can play around the 1500 machine lock. You really have 3 options: Orcust, Sky Striker, and Mecha Phantom Beast. I prefered MPB and Sky Striker because both don't play into droll.
Techs:
-
(common knowledge but important) Always use funk dock before your first search if possible, droll prevents it from being activated.
-
If you scout super poly with lambda cannon, it can be the right play to make both Link-3s point to the same component in a triangle. This insulates you from losing the Quick effect at cost of more components equipped.
-
Sequencing traps, droplet, blade, and Shepherd in a given chain to put your components in the correct place to be summoned by eachother's effects is very rewarding.
-
I tried at one point to make this a pure going second deck in the vein of Tenpai, given how strong Pile Bunker is. Mixed success, but Book of Eclipse stood out as great with R.B. in this meta. It really cements the OTK and disrupts Elfnote / KT when droplet alone won't end the game.
