Notes & Combos

As long as your persistent and your opponent messes up enough, you can make it with any deck...

Yugiboomer in me wanted a lower power engine to have fun with, decided to see how far I could go and made it to master. Basically, given the format the deck is carried by Super Poly, Lancea, Maxx C, and Fuwa. That being said, the deck has enough complexity and forces a lot of thought on when to trigger disruptions, and it doesn't feel too oppressive.

I did play an Ashened / Volcanic / Snake Eyes deck to get from Plat to Diamond, but that had even more bricks, so I went to just Ashened / Kashtira which was a bit more consistent. This deck has a lower ceiling, but I get to play a bit more :).

Deck notes:

  • Veidos is a fun mechanic against field spells. Shut down few centurion decks I played against, useful against Maliss and Tenpai field spell as well
  • Most games are against Maliss, but I found that if you disrupt them enough (ex. Veidos field wipe, super poly), you usually can win. Against great Maliss players you have no chance.
  • Ashened For Eternity does let you take your nibiru token back
  • Didn't quite figure out tenpai, but with Veidos and Ashened to Endless Gy Effect (turn opp monsters to pyro) it should win some games.

Standard play:

  • Awakening -> Opp Field, use Viedos to pop, Obisidim effect so SS King, King eff to SS Ashened Monster (usually Hero to pop to place Obsidim)
    • Didn't quite figure out what's the best trap to set with Viedos, Eternity is good when you need to get back veidos and play on opp turn (good to SS Hero off of King to to setup the disruption), but Endless feels more fun if you can SS Veidos Fusion.
  • Preistess + Level 4 Ashened into Banshee, search Veidos.

Deck building notes:

  • I'm UR poor, so I was missing various cards:
    • 1x Ghost Belle, I only have one and it's decent against Maliss
    • 2x Superpoly should be 3x
    • Should replace Bagooska / One of the super poly targets with more Ashened fusion copies, but I did rarely have the chance to make more than one
    • Can put more field spells in to play with Veidos, ex. Kash field spell or Chicken game.
  • Various weird choices I made to help
    • Nibiru is a bit weird, threw it in because most players don't protect against it (stole me my master rank up game)
    • 3x Obsidim is likely too much, but all of the ashened cards are bricks without it, so i have it at 3x just to see it more
