Notes & Combos
NS ALEISTER IS STILL GOOD 6 YEARS LATER!!
This deck takes advantage of a few things that seem specific to this meta. 1. Fusion Decks are the most common in the game 2. Ultimate Slayer and Super Poly are some of the best board breakers in the game 3. Garura and Aggregator are some really good support cards for Nadir Servant and Ultimate Slayer 4. 75% of the decks I faced played dark/light monsters
I would say that its because of those reasons that this deck is pretty competitive. Now to explain why you should think about investing in this deck instead of some of the better fusion decks like Tear or Branded. 1. Maxx C is pretty much a non issue hence why I am no longer running Ash or Called By 2. Mechaba can sometimes be enough to deal with Tear's opener 3. Like Mechaba, this deck is really adaptable and flexible. It has room for a lot of tech cards based on the matchups you are seeing. For example, the hardest matchups for this deck are probably Adamancipator, Rikka and Spright, but these decks also do not run a lot of back row removal so we are able to run 3 Summon Limit.
Something else about the deck is that its not super UR heavy and there are definitely some things that you can cut to make it less expensive and still hit diamond.
Tech Choice Explanations 1. Ultimate Slayer: Really good going second card that naturally synergizes with how the deck is built as it wants to send extra deck monsters to the grave 2. Summon Limit: probably the best and most consitent floodgate right now (I can't believe this card is at 3). Its an obviously toxic card but it helps us in our toughest matchups like Rikka, Adamancipator, and Spright because these decks can't setup a board on 2 summons. 3. Borreload Furious Dragon: There are a lot of bystials in the meta and Dragon Link is at the very least rogue so Super Poly for this is really good. You can also make this with invocation if you really need to and have exactly Druiswurm + Saronir. (There is also an interesting tech with Gravity Controller + Furious if you send both with Maximus Effect(has not come up for me yet)) 4. No Ash Blossom: Not great in this meta and the main use is to stop the Maxx C but like I said, Maxx C is usually just going even against this deck.
Replays
The Deck has taken on many forms during the climb through Diamond so the list is not the same in all of the replays but the one shown is the list that got me throught to Master.
