Notes & Combos

This is bystial control. It may resemble D link, but it is actually different in some ways. The deck has a smaller engine, more room for handtraps, and runs less overall bricks, but the biggest benefit I see in this over D link is that it plays reasonably well vs maxx c. This deck is by no means meta like d link, but its got it's own benefits that set it apart, and i think its a strong rogue option nonetheless.

The deck aims to bare minimum set up either seal pass or beast and regained (in which case you'd have plenty handtraps), but often times you're able to push beyond that and make borrelend plays, as shown in the replays. While seal pass is strong, often times being able to borrelend pass with a rokket in GY is just stronger, and if we have resources that's the push to make. Speaking of which, I run a small tuner package which wasn't really run in tcg lists. This is because chaos ruler was banned in the tcg, and taking advantage of that monster helps a lot with endboards and recovery (it was crazy in the replay). The package may seem bricky, but it isn't that bad. plus, we'll inevitably need tuner access once we get dis pater, which is our boss monster. Deck can brick sometimes, but when it does, you brick on like 4-5 handtraps, so it really isn't that bad. Would highly recommend giving this underrated deck a try!

I'll also quickly gloss over some choices. I feel the albaz package coupled with the rokket engine made the deck too bricky, so I decided to cut it, but it's still not a bad option if you want to replace the rokkets instead. Ash and maxx are standard, veiler pairs really well with the chaos engine and is a good add off chaos ruler. Gamma is a free chaos ruler and there are many chances we can activate it, also can pitch off chaos space if needed. 1 duster is solid, insta win vs lab. 2 regained because it has great recursion, especially against control decks. Bystials should be enough though you can always add 1-2 more baldrake if needed.
