Notes & Combos
Another run to Master 5 with the magical cats!
The ranked ladder has changed a bit. Lots of Dracotail, Mitsurugi variants, and obviously the new entry, the Yummy cats. I only faced one Maliss in the entire climb from Diamond 5 to 1.
I didn't need to change anything in the deck, strangely enough. Retaliating "C" was surprisingly good against Yummy. They don't want to banish their monsters on summon.
Going second if still bad if you don't have Maxx "C" or lots of handtraps. I considered adding 3 Fuwas, but I was too afraid of bricking going first, so I kept the deck as it was.
The strategy didn't change either:
-Get Noir with lots of materials on the field (with no less than 1 Delicious), hope the opponent doesn't have ways to tribute it or lingering backrow effects.
-Use attached Pretty Memories to eat their cards: better to aim for backrow or field spells, monsters can get bounced as the effect activates.
-When possible, go for the Happiness OTK when all the interactions have been baited. Even if you can't go for lethal, you can make another Noir out of the 5 Material Epurrely Happiness.
Some notes about Yummy:
-Pure Yummy apparently has no outs against Noir if it gets to 4600 ATK/DEF or more, because that's the highest ATK Yummy can get to with the Field Spell and 5 other Yummys on their field.
(1 Cooky★Yummy Way 1600 + 5 other Yummy monsters * 500 = 4600)
They can potentially run Goddess, but they can't use it if they summon Snatchy. (Link 2 lock)
-Yummy Mitsu doesn't run Wousu (to Tribute Noir) or Dugares (double ATK for the big Ritual monsters to either attack over Noir, or bait a spin to get its materials to 4 or lower and lose immunity)
And that's about it. For Master 1, I'm planning to make a Yummy Purrely Deck.
More cats, more fun!
