My final hurrah with Ryzeal.

I've greatly enjoyed the deck throughout the lifespan of Cross. Going from a deck I regretted playing on my main account when only pure existed, to becoming one of my most enjoyed decks recently with the introduction of Mitsu and Onomat to the deck. Mitsu's layered board and Onomat's ability to just gas through interaction were both a joy to play with Ryzeal. While the deck won't die because of the Cross ban, it will definitely not be as good a pick as other decks, and with K9VS all but confirmed for the next pack, I'll be playing that in the upcoming format.

This season didn't much change my motivation for the game at all, but Vanquish Soul will, so I hope to get a non-Maliss Master 1 list out in February.

Onto this list tho. I was really happy with it overall. I rarely opened badly at all, and the game I lost during the climb were either not winnable regardless, or because I misplayed. I consistently drew 2 hand traps and 2 engine pieces, with few exceptions. Heavy Slump and D Barrier as Alembertian targets performed very well, and Alembertian specifically was much easier to make than I'd expected. The ED has some flex slots, like Giant Hand, Flame Banshee and Utopic Ray Lancer, but I stand by the Tornado Dragon in specific. It was really good for forcing out Dracotail backrow once they'd dealt with Exciton, or as an additional 4 to make at the end of a combo. I feel like this format was its format.

Ryzeal is a fun deck once you play it, and I'm glad I did
