Notes & Combos
Purrely Again!
This is the same deck I used to qualify for the 2nd stage of the Duelist Cup.
I didn't feel the need to change anything from that list, because the decks I'm finding in the main ranked ladder are pretty much the same as in the Cup: mainly Dracotail, Odion, Ryzeal/Mitsurugi variants, some Sky Strikers and Maliss, and the occasional Labrynth... with Dimensional Barrier.
After my failure at getting to the Duelist Cup Top 10000, at least I got to Master 5. (got to 15k, then went on a bad losing streak and plummeted all the way to 9k.)
Can I make a final push to Master 1? Maybe. Maybe not.
About the deck itself:
Same game plan as the Duelist Cup. As always, you want to go first with this deck. Goind second is bad unless you're lucky with the handtraps.
Try to play around the opponent's handtraps if you have a good starting hand. Purrely plays surprisingly good under Maxx C/Fuwa, because you usually don't need many summons to get to Expurrely Noir.
My suggestion is to go for Epurrely Plump, make it eat 2 spells/traps in the graveyard, then activate and attach a Memory to it, so you get to 5 materials for the Noir summon.
Alternatively, there's the Epurrely (small) Noir + Purrelyeap strategy: summon small Noir, activate and attach a Memory to have it set Purrelyeap for the next turn), but the big Noir summoned with the trap will be gone at the end of your next turn.
Remember to activate Purrelyeap after you drew with Sleepy Memory so you can repeat the draws! (up to 6 draws in total with 3 Sleepy memories attached)
The Field Spell is very helpful: not only it can attach a Memory on your Xyz Purrelys in your End phase (getting a 3 material Xyz + Purrelyeap summon to 5 materials), but its protection for special summoned Purrelys (on the summon turn) can catch many opponents off guard. I've seen so many wasted Imperms and Widow Anchors...
Handtraps stay the same. You can change Nibiru for something else, maybe Droll, Called By, or even another Purrely field spell.
The main point is: If you can make the cat fat enough (Noir with 5+ materials, including at least 1 Delicious), you get to a strong point of advantage and you can play the grind game. Just hope the opponent doesn't have a way to tribute it. Or Dimensional Barrier. (It can negate Noir because its effect is continuous.)
Anyway, now I'm waiting for Yummy's release. Purrely is getting some new kitty friends to play with!
