Notes & Combos
As Called By is gone and Shifter is about to be, there is some room for innovation in non-engine for VSK9. I opted to drop Noroi and replace it and called by with 2 Ghost Ogres. I think Ghost Ogre has a phenomenal meta matchup between continuous targets and elfnote power patron / fallbaz. 2 is likely too many given Borger's draws, but it might feel right after shifter is gone.
I want to comment on Fuwalos as Makenshi characterized it as a going second card - as VSK9 is bricky, it can act as a going first card in bricky hands. Passing with it live > Turn 0 cards on turn 2 won me a few games, and this is fundamentally different than going second even if it looks the same. This is so important that I would not play fewer than 2 copies.
First time getting to rated duels, excited to track rating as I improve.
