Notes & Combos
Probably the worst experience I had in any season, ever.
D5-M3 with Mitsu + Fallen of White, M3-M1 with Mitsu Ryzeal, but ultimately you can reach M1 with both. It really just depends on how often you get to go first/get Drolled. The deck does fine going second against decks that aren't functional FTKs.
The month started off super strong with a near flawless Diamond run, hit M5 in about 3 short playsessions.
Then, once there, I had such miserable flip rates for the next 60 or so games. I want to say I only got to go first about 25% of the time, and when I got to go first, about 70% of the time I got floodgated by Droll/C, or my only starter got ashed, I don't have exact numbers because keeping track would just probably drive me even more crazy.
I cannot understate how truly miserable it was - this climb would've been done about 9 days earlier, but multiple sessions of just straight not getting to play and de-ranking is just soul-crushing. I only managed to finish the climb once my flip rate finally went up again. Still got Drolled plenty - this stupid card (and effects like it) has to just go, don't even make a Mulcharmy version of it, at least with C/Charmies you have a choice.
Lastly, this is not really any insight, I just wanted to say that specifically my winrate against Sky Striker especially is incredibly poor - because 90% of the time they were allowed to go first. Whoever thinks Striker going first is based and cool and awesome has not been Vision + Engage × 4 + Pot + TTT'd multiple times. (Half-joking, obviously it's not a hard FTK but my god what a frustrating pattern.)
Deck Talk
It's Mitsu Ryzeal, you know what it does.
- Droplet felt very, very good. If it didn't get handripped it typically was the key to at least let me attempt going second.
- Discard/send drawn Purification and using it's GY effect honestly came up a ton this climb!
- Impulse however, felt very bad. Ryzeal cards resolving typically beat out it's worth.
- (I'd replace it with something else next climb but honestly I'm so burned out, it might be break time again.)
- Replaced W:P with Vallon/Tornado Dragon, probably regretting this in hindsight because normal Ice doesn't lock you into Xyz yet. Vallon never got sent, climb was too short for Tornado to really come in clutch. In my opinion, I/W:P is such a strong endboard piece that I would still want to make it if I can.
- Gorgon is so so so good.

Replays are still from last climb, so only Mitsu + Fallen gameplay - just personal enjoyment replays, decide the usefulness for yourself.
