Notes & Combos

• Book of Eclipse is a lifesaver against BS Ryzeal endboard (BS stands for Bagooska-Starliege). It is also a non-OPT spell, which means if you open with multiple copies and your first activation gets negated, you can still activate the same card again. Relying solely on Forbidden Droplet in this kind of situation is not enough.

• While Maliss decks can still play through Artifact Lancea due to the new support, I personally feel the endboards under Lancea can still be managed with generic boardbreakers. Therefore I decided to keep Lancea in my deck.

• I decided to take out Maxx C because most of the times my opponents can just set some cards, pass turn, and they play on my turn instead.

• I tried using TheJackal's M1 decklist this season and I ended up struggling a lot. Often times I bricked my opening hand and my opponent decided to just pass turn without doing anything. Hence I decided to stick with Striker variant instead of the HT variant.

• Because this deck only plays one copy of Bident Dragon, be very careful when you face against Kashtira Unicorn as it can banish the only copy of Bident Dragon from the extra deck.

• Meteorburst Dragon can be replaced with something else. I have never summoned it throughout my M1 climb.

In my opinion, this season's climb feels slightly less hectic than the previous season's climb (I am quite struggling during my M4-M3 games). Also, I feel that Terahertz Maliss is way harder to deal compared to Ignister Maliss.
