Notes & Combos
This deck's pretty strong when it gets to play. It's not as consistent as top tier decks and loses to a single interaciton a lot of the time but once you get them into the grind / simplified gamestate, you're pretty much guaranteed to win. A lot of the skill is in deciding what spell to search or if you go for the trap, do you use the trap to book of moon or revive, etc. You often have to think a few turns ahead to plan for how you want to sequence the regenesis stuff.
Tech choices:
Didn't like bystials, didn't like nadir that much. This felt like it did the thing the deck wants to do pretty well and didn't have matchup issues like the other ones, with a slightly higher ceiling thanks to tour guide + doomdog going.
Tour guide - Gives you doomdog which searches archfiend. Can go into torpedo if you desperately need a 2500 body on field, but usually you go into masq for SP on their turn.
Kash - Feels all around useful compared to the situational bystials. They get infinite grind game value and have 2500 so it seems like a natural pairing.
Cycle - Don't see many people running this but it saved my *** a lot. Since you don't have ED outs to stuff on board, being able to search it, especially with lord on field, helps a ton when you need to clear things. Even outing your own lava golem can be annoying sometimes, having this to get stuff off the field helps push for lethal.
3x Dragon's Mind - Card is amazing, you pretty much always want it. A double solemn is just.... chefs kiss
Timmy floodgates - Skilldrain and TCBOO are lame but the deck uses them perfectly. You need every advantage you can get against the ryzeal and maliss hordes. Just play them. Honor is for the dead!
Torpedo - 2500, lets you get stuff out of hand when you have tour guide and don't need or have doomdog.
Hyang - Seems better than Dingus, not sure why people don't run it.
Almiraj - for when you need to normal doomdog
Decks fun, nice change of pace. Def not a tiered deck but competent, for sure. I had an 8 winstreak in master 3 so it def can pop off, and it's not awful at going second since you can run lava golem and breakers. Need more low to the ground decks like this, Konami!
