Notes & Combos
The Regenesis Primite Dogmatika deck went from "functional" to "real" after making several changes inspired by other decks. Is this the best way or even "solved" Regenesis deck? Not by a long shot. This deck feels like it can become even better with further tweaks. The good news that there are more cards over the horizon that will make Regenesis better with or without the Primite package.
Sengenjin: This was my chosen Normal monster for several reasons: 2500 DEF to trigger Regenesis cards, 2500 DEF to protect itself from easily being attacked over, 2750 ATK to attack over Lava Golem 2500 DEF, 2750 ATK target for Primite Roar to banish most normal summoned monsters, Earth Attribute to avoid being a Bystial target, Beast-Warrior Type doesn't conflict with any of the Regenesis Monsters when using TCBOO, and Link material to enable BlackLusterSoldier/WorldGears full effect.
Bystials: I saw alot of Tearlaments Piles in my climb that I up the Bystial count to counter them. All of the monsters having 2500 ATK pairs well with Regenesis. Branded Regained was used even without Bystials to draw cards.
Skill Drain/There Can Be Only One: I never actually used these cards in the past due to not playing decks that can utilize them till Regenesis. Easily snatches wins if they don't get blown out. I get the appeal now after actually playing them. Yet, I will not feel sad when they are banned.
Extra Deck: Mainly SuperPoly/Nadir/Punishment Targets. Black Luster Soldier, Typhon, and Little Knight were summoned more often than even I expected, so these three earned their slots. World Gears is break glass incase of emergency, but it can be cut as I hardly summoned it. Chaos Angel was barely summoned as well, but I kept one due to being summonable with Ecclesia + Bystial to get its full effects, yet can easily be cut for something else too.
I tried to mix Regenesis with Fiendsmith, Blue-Eyes, Ryzeal, Snake-Eyes, Voiceless Voice, and variations without Primite/Dogmatika engines, but at the end I went back to Primite/Dogmatika engine combo. The different combo decks did work to some degree, just they didn't click for me the same way I feel when playing Primite/Dogmatika with Regenesis.
