my first build of this deck i replaced the non-engine with the "mandatory" roach package,ash,calledby, crossout,gamma. It was absolutely awful. except for ash against lab and branded in particular, every single one of those cards were subpar and you'd wish you had something better like droplet or broww instead. protector won me a duel against skilldrain rivarly. Every non-engine card provides great value goping first or second, that's why i hated called by and crossout, they're just awful if you go second. The discard engine that draws is great, it's excellent going first and gives you gas to play through boards. I realized that I lose more games because i'm building my deck badly to counter maxx c than I'd lose to maxx c if I build an actually proper deck with actual good cards, so I decided to pretend maxx c doesn't exist and build the deck accordingly, it's not like I wasn't losing to maxx c when i was maindecking 9 counters anyways, despite that, you can in many cases make plump with 2-4 mats and set the trap to noir during their turn with just 1 special in my turn and 1 during opponent turn, or noir with 2 specials, TTT also helps punish maxx c and the discard engine provides gas to play through any hand traps, in my promotion match i got drolled and ended on 6 mat noir and robin and in a recent game i got nibbed and still ended on 6 mat noir cause my friendly refunds all spells. streamers are telling people that ash on my friend is good but actually imperm on purrlelyly is 10x times better that's why i'm playing imperm and not ash. also it's a great hit off of princess. droplet is great since you can always rebuild your hand and the deck has many quick play spells that you can send for cost for free. you can normal summon purrley they imperm you chain a quick play then chain another quick play then droplet send the spells and purrley to get 3 searchers and negate their board and draw if you had some of discard engine as well so you just end with a completely new hand. card draws is better than snowwl fake card advantage cause when it matters the most, you rather draw one additional card hoping it'll be a droplet/imperm/TTT/purrley spell so you can win the duel as opposed to a card that won't neccecarily provide value. metalfoes is better than browll when you hit it off princess and you can attach it to plump. if there was a card i wish i saw more it's discard engine. on prosp/fenrir cause they conflict with draw engine. 1 field & trap is enough.
