Invoked

Master I from Yuuki Swallowtail on October 28th, 2026
Owned Cards
40 cards

Notes & Combos

Had a tough grind in Master the past week, I actually reached M2 easily after my first day of hitting M5 but the moment I fell, I started doubting my list too much and keep changing which caused me to lose more. Eventually I found a list that works for me.

Hand Traps Lineup

  • Effect Veiler/Imperm - Just to negate enemy starters mainly and I run 2 of each for flexibility when sometime you would like a monster for fusion (to be honest I rarely use veiler for fusion) and Imperm to negate without triggering enemy's card that has monster negates, also usable in my turn
  • Ghost Belle/Ghost Mourner - Just play 1 copy each since hard once per turn and I wanted more negates
  • Ghost Ogre - Have better chance fighting Elfnote since you can ruin their day if you destroy the right card
  • The rest - Self Explanatory

Tech Spell Choices

I am so happy that I added these cards back [Desires/TTTalent/TTT Thrust]. I was kinda doubting my choices since some people in the discord were saying these cards aren't good in Invoked. Then Tere managed to hit top 2 in the Duelist Cut running 2 copies of each though I only run 1 since I had to play more handtraps, so he kinda proved that these cards are good.

Math wise desires just win you more games, don't be too hung up over that 1 game over like 50 where you banished your entire combo. I don't run Super Poly though which might be weird because it is working for everyone else but every time I try to use it, I have a super low winrate (which was why I was stuck in Master the past week lol). The moment I went back to my OG 17 handtraps style list without Super Poly, the climb was easy.

Extra Deck I run a typical standard Invoked extra deck, Almiraj is personal preference since I just like having it for simpler access but I won't say it is very crucial.

Final Thoughts I think this deck is really fun, I just want to say that most of the games you play, you won't be able to play uninterrupted and do the full spreadsheet combos you see online. In modern YGO, everyone runs enough hand traps to at least draw 1-2 per starting hand, so you should learn how each card combo routes rather than relying too much on spread sheet. This deck has quite different lines depending on situation and I didn't realised until Tere mentioned it in the discord.

I must warn that I am not a perfect player because I didn't play for many years so this is my first season in a long time so I might make plays you disagree with!
