Notes & Combos

Had so much fun playing this deck. I used the Mitsurugi version from D5 to M5, then switched to this one to reach M1. I considered the Protoss or Feather variants but wanted to get value out of the Rafflesia I pulled from a secret pack. Most of the time, I just blind combo into Rafflesia if I don't have Gravedigger in hand, while also summoning Gagagaga Girl to search Xyz Barrier.

This deck loses hard to Droll. Against Maxx "C," Fuwa, or coin-flip minigames, I usually didn't bother waiting for their full combo unless I had strong follow-ups or handtraps. If you go first and they let you resolve your usual end board—Rafflesia + Duo (1 material) + Xyz Barrier + Plasma Hole + Twins (2 materials, which you can use for Xyz Barrier if needed) + Deto—you're in a great spot. During the combo, I also summon Dugares or Granite to search Nibiru or just draw 2. This version lets you access more Light Dragon and Laplacian thanks to the extra Rank 4 if you have a good hands.

The climb to M1 was rewarding since I had to really learn the deck. The most fun and difficult matchup was Sky Striker IMO—you must carefully manage your resources on their turn. I also struggled against Lunalight; without good handtraps, they full combo into Dancer and OTK. You can swap the 3 Lancea for other handtraps as needed, since I faced a ton of Maliss from M2 to M1.
