Notes & Combos
What does R.B. stand for? Really Bad? Rusty Bots? Rogue Bait?...
...Or, for those who can handle the pressure, Really Busted?
As I climbed through the ranked ladder this season, I'm inclined to say the latter is more accurate. The joke stopped being funny somewhere between Diamond and Master - this deck is actually serious.
Stage Landing is one of the most custom cards ever - non-once per turn starter and extender with a great bonus effect to protect your monsters from destruction. It is also easily accessible, since any 2 Machines can go into VALCan Booster (which searches Stage Landing), so you can play a bunch of different engines to make it happen. The Brute Blues, aside from being an OTK machine, also searches another copy of Stage Landing, making the deck come together.
As for what engines to play, Sky Striker is incredible. Cyanos is basically Tour Guide for this deck, being a great normal summon (and, in a pinch, also an extender) that summons Roze from the deck or GY, and with the Sky Striker links you have 2 Machines (they are also 1500 ATK so they don't conflict with Stage Landing's restriction!). Got disrupted? Cyanos can revive Roze, so you got an additional body (to make Brute Blues for example). In addition to that, Hornet Drones is also full combo if you burn through a couple Sky Striker link monsters.
Mecha Phantom Beasts are also a great choice, since it's cheap and has no bricks - you can normal summon O-Lion, link into Clockwork Knight, summon a token and there you have your 2 Machines. Tetherwolf is similar, summoning a token on normal summon. And what if you draw multiples? No problem, O-Lion in the GY gives you an additional normal summon for a Mecha Phantom Beast, giving you an additional extender.
Orcust and Speedroid packages are also options, but I prefer the Mecha Phantom Beast engine for the lack of bricks and no URs (other than Clockwork Knight).
All in all, I believe this is a solid deck and not that expensive, especially if you already have the Sky Striker cards. Give it a try!
Replays
You can find some replays in this video.
The first duel has an example of what your combo/endboard can look like. Then, you have a bunch of interesting duels, including multiple duels going 2nd, breaking boards and chewing through interaction. Hope you enjoy it!
