Notes & Combos
Pure Gem-knights, blind second! Very fun and underrated deck that can compete with the best decks in the format. The ability to play flexible board-breakers, together with a massive number of one-card combo starters makes this deck a force to be reckoned with.
My own personal flavoring comes in form of kaijus. Not many people play them. But I found that they work extrordinarily well. They allow you to remove crucial threats or negates to make cards like feather duster or lightning storm to go through. They can also remove sychro material on the board agianst Kewl Tune, making it more awkward for them to synchro.
Interrupted kaiju slumber works wonders. Some of your card effects need your opponent to control a monster to activate. So it's nice to have a boardwipe that leaves the opponent with one monster. Keep in mind that ash blossom negates it. But this is not necessarily problematic. Sometimes it serves as bait so that your brilliant fusion goes through etc.
You don't need to play two Gem-Knight Master Diamond. You don't need to play these kaijus specificially. Interrupted kaiju slumber can also be substituted for dark hole/raigeki.
Rememmber to use Forbidden Droplet to dodge targeted negates.
