Ryzeal Mitsurugi

Master I from Fuan on March 18th, 2026
Owned Cards
42 cards

Notes & Combos

This time it was a pretty chill run through Duelist Cup and Masters. Although, it was honestly kind of suspicious that in Diamond, Masters, and Duelist Cup I lost the coin flip like 75% of the time in each one… I guess that just shows how good the deck actually is xD.

INTRO

The deck is one of the best in the current meta. The more I play it, the more I like it and the more I feel how strong it really is. It’s good going second and excellent going first. On a full combo, it can put up anywhere between 8 to 13 disruptions, depending on your hand.

Going second, the deck can break boards really efficiently using Ext Ryzeal, rank 4s, Woosu + Morakumo for cleanup, and if you have Magatama or TTT, that gives you even more ways to dismantle boards.

Playing Arround Charmies

The deck can actually play pretty well into the Charmies if you manage it correctly:

Vs Fuwa: If you suspect it, don’t use Ice or Habakiri until you absolutely have to. This prevents giving guaranteed draws. You can end on something like:

Murakumo

Futsu

Detonator (3 materials)

Purification

whatever else you opened

And you usually only give them 1–2 draws, which is manageable.

Vs Purulia: Try not to ritual summon from hand. Ice is the safest option here since it can get you to Detonator with just one draw given. Also, Mirror becomes very valuable since it lets you summon from grave.

If you don’t open Ice and instead open another Ryzeal, usually giving 2 draws just for Detonator isn’t worth it… but you can take the risk if you feel like it.

Vs Maxx “C”: Best line is usually:

Murakumo + Purification

It’s not amazing, but it’s the safest minimal commitmen

Deck Strengths

One of the strongest aspects of the deck is how flexible it is.

You can run Impulse, and even if you can’t use the effects of Ext or Ice, they still function as extenders or even board breakers.

Also, if you open Impulse + Ext/Ice, you can decide:

Turn off your effects if you know it will be super impactful and play safe

Or hold Impulse for later

That decision-making adds a lot of depth and skill expression to the deck.

Honestly, this is a deck where skill matters a lot. Many games I lost weren’t because the deck was bad, but because:

I didn’t see the correct line fast enough

I ran out of time

Or I misplayed under pressure

If you pilot it well, you can win most of your games.

Weaknesses

Even though the deck is very strong, it does have clear weaknesses:

  • Droll & Lock Bird (Biggest Weakness)

I can’t even count how many games I lost because of this card.

Going second → you feel like you have a chance, then you get Drolled and lose

Going first → you’re forced to end on something weak like Detonator or Murakumo

It completely shuts the deck down.

  • Tech option:

  • Run Crossout Designator + 1 Droll

You can cut cards like Purulia or Node for this if needed

  • Consistency Issues

The deck can sometimes feel fragile:

One Ash or Imperm can completely stop your turn

This can lead to losing streaks if you get unlucky

The key here is:

Don’t play tilted

Accept that some hands just won’t be good

Flex Spots / Customization

You have a lot of room to adjust the deck:

Main Deck Flex

You can remove or adjust:

Node

Purulia

Magatama

TTT

Woosu

Ratios You Can Tweak

Murakumo

Ice

Aramasa

Extra Deck Options

You can swap:

Gorgon

Eclipse Twins

Light Dragon

Final Thoughts

Overall, the deck is extremely strong, very flexible, and rewards good decision-making. It’s not the most consistent deck, and it struggles hard against Droll, but if you learn the lines and play carefully, it can easily carry you through ladder events and tournements.

Hope you enjoy the deck.
