Notes & Combos
Notes about the climb
Boring climb this season Fire King Snake Eyes is just the best deck or rifle now and there is not much that can be done about it. I ended up taking two days to climb from M5 to M1. It would have taken only one day but I could not win a coin flip for the life of me once I hit M2 and my hands were just the most interrupt able hands in the world and I would just always go second against Horus stun.
Notes about the deck
Pretty standard deck list not much to talk about the non engine ratios are to my personal taste. My opponents seem to always open Kirin so I value Droll a lot more. Sometimes solo carries going second or going first. Outside of that the one ofs are both really good pieces of non engine and work as cross out targets. The Fire King cards allow you to drag your cold dead body into the grind game so that you can just out recur your opponent into oblivion.
Match ups
Fire King Snake Eyes
- It’s about who goes first and enjoy having the better non engine pieces in the deck. The match ups are most likely going to end up in the grind game which often leads to top deck situations or mistakes that lead to a loss.
Rescue Ace
- Kirin is really powerful in this matchup and you can use the Fire King field if you really need a way to out a monster in your EMZ. Just be careful about SP targeting your Fire King field or Garurnix because if they are able to banish either it severely hurts your grind game.
Horus Stun
- Either stop them from getting King Sarc online or that they don’t open enough floodgates when going second. And also the single handed reason why it took me 2 days to get M1.
“Pure” Fire Kings
- Usually you can gas through what they have just be careful about popping their cards or SP on the field spell. If they only run a small Snake Eyes package, putting some of their cards in the back row can help you win the grind game.
Z-Arc
- Hope you open up a good enough non engine hand going second an unbreakable board is an unbreakable board and they are most likely going to be able to win if you don’t hand trap them. Also remember most likes can put up an Appo pre pendulum summon.
Purrely
- Just a matter of opening up enough gas or opening up the right non engine.
Spright
- Faced it once or twice but felt like it was worth mentioning it is a combo deck so open the right hand traps or you will have a hard time trying to gas through their stuff.
Endnotes
I hate this current meta it originally made me leave the tcg and it I genuinely don’t enjoy many of the games I have played and even if I am winning.
