Notes & Combos
Polished version of the Super Poly Sky Striker Build I used to reach Master 5.
Notable Changes
- Double cyclone ultimately got cut. The deck was already doing pretty well into Dracotail, especially as I get better at using Zero's tag out, Linkage, and droplet to dodge the traps. The matchup it helped more in was Odion, but matchup still isnt too bad without it. Overall to bricky for a preffered going 1st build.
- Gamma got cut not because its bad, in fact its really good, I just had too many games where I had driver as a dead card in my hand.
- 2nd copy of Lemnisgate came in super clutch and I now do believe it is correct to run 2. With 2 you have the flexibility to pitch one early with Cammelia or Hayate and use it as a disruption, and save the other one for reload later in the game. Especially in a build like this that dedicates a handfull of ED slots to the spoly package the refuel was vital for drawn out games.
- Desires made the cut and felt good, a pretty good consistency piece. I did add another Roze as insurance for me adding Desires, but honestly 2nd Roze felt good too and the deck felt more consistent.
- Zeke was the ultimate winner of the 15th ED slot. Being able to go into him off LemnisGates grave effect did come up, and there were times where I needed to bridge into him.
Other Notes
- Engage Zero I think is super underated and should be ran in Sky Striker Decks that lack board breakers. Engage Zero won me multiple games.
- LemnisGate enables Sky Striker to run Spoly Package, or Slayer Package or even the Charmer Package. Really helpful in longer games to refuel the ED. The GY effect does come up a decent amount also. Most idealy to go into Azaela or Zeke to pop a card.
- This deck is more so leaned towards going first hence why strong going 2nd cards like Thrust, Afterburner, and HAMP didnt make the cut.
- I thought about cutting Droll, but there are certain matchups like Mitsurugi, Orcust, Ryzeal, and Lunalight. Where it proved to be too good. It was also really nice to have it as a crossout target.
- Even in our worst matchups if you use handtraps correctly we can still win.
Highlights
- The highest win streak I went on was a 4 win winstreak from Master 3 -> Master 2. With a 3 game win streak getting me into master 1.
- Spoly Package is really good into Mitsurugi, Orcust, Mallis, and White Forest (which I played against a decent amount).
- Standard Sky Striker Engine beyond that though.
- Might upload some replays soon.
